"We unite churches around the globe for one purpose:
the sake of the fatherless."
With over 140 million orphans globally, the need for orphan care ministry is evident. God has mandated every Christian to take part in ministering to orphans and widows. Child Help International has successfully united churches in Kenya to take on the call of the orphans and join their forces in order to provide a safe and loving family to the neediest of the orphaned and widowed.
Meet the Neediest
Street children, children orphaned by disease, war, or abandonment, children considered unadoptable, these are the children CHI seeks to save from hopeless situations.
Rafael ran away from home as a 5 year-old in search of food and companionship. He has never known a family. Until now.
Sheila never knew her father. He died of AIDS before she was born or soon after. As just a toddler, her mother abandoned her in the wilderness and went to the streets as a prostitute.
Shadrach was only four years-old when he watched from a hiding place as his father was chopped to pieces by a mob wielding machetes. His mother went insane from the trauma and abandoned her children to the elements.
These are true stories from just 3 of the children living in a CHI member family home. These and over 75 others are receiving care, love, and an education. But most important, they are growing in a family atmosphere to learn and love their Heavenly Father. It is CHI's utmost hope and intention that each child is nurtured spiritually to have a faith that is as solid, unbreakable, unmovable as a rock.
